Cub Scouting

The best way to find out what you do best is to do it. Swing a bat. Pitch a tent. Build a Pinewood Derby® car. Cub Scouts are at the magical age where everything is new and possible and, most important, fun.

They live in a world of “firsts” — first home run, first campfire,
first checkered flag — where their game plan is their imagination.
Their most valuable reward is the friends they make for life and
a parent’s proud smile. These are invaluable experiences that
can be had in Scouting. These are life lessons that eventually
transform boys and girls in Cub Scouting, through advancement,
into members of Scouts BSA.

Cub Scouts®. Do Your Best. Have Fun Doing It.

About Pack 827

We are self sponsored pack with no attachment to any specific organization other than Boy Scouts of America. We’re located in Ballard, a neighborhood in north Seattle.

Diversity Statement

Scout Pack 827 invites all people of goodwill to become involved in Scouting regardless of  race, ethnicity,  gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, physical ability, age, religion, or socio-economic status. Our Scouting community shall endeavors to actively foster a safe, inclusive, and affirming climate of respect and appreciation for our diverse world.

Since the founding of Scouting in 1908, the program has been based on a commitment to lifelong-learning and the beliefs that (1) we all benefit from the experiences and knowledge of those who have gone before, (2) in due course, we are obliged to improve on that knowledge, and (3) we model positive change in our community, our country, and –ultimately– our  world.

Scouts lead through lessons learned, “One scout at a time.” We are committed to creating a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for all.

Through Cub Scouting, you and your friends can see and learn fun, new things you can’t get
anywhere else.
